Colonial Life Versus Our life Today

In our class, we have been learning about colonial life. Today I will be comparing our life to colonial life. In the colonial days, women were not allowed to own land and were forced to stay at home and work. Almost all land was owned by men and it was very rare for women to ever own any land. Nowadays, women have equal rights and are able to own land. Unlike the children in the 1700s, I have the privilege to go to school and get a good education. On top of that, I don't have to work at a young age to support my family. I can't imagine how life must have been for those children in the Colonial times.
